SEA OTTER EUROPE

The bike festival. The little brother inspired by the world-famous Sea Otter Classic; an international fair that has been held in Laguna Seca, California, since 1991. Now in its eighth year, Sea Otter Europe, has become a leading event for everything related to cycling: industry, competitions and the revolutionary Demo Bike.
Here are some figures from last year’s event: 42,000 m2 of exhibition area, 68,000 visitors, 500 brands, 6,000 participants in the sports events, 115 nationalities and 597 Demo Bike test bikes.
Each year, the festival has been a race against the clock to create the videos required for its different stages. Starting in the weeks leading up to the festival, producing 20″ spots for television in up to 4 languages. Live streaming during the event, and more videos during the four days following the festival. Video pieces for showing on television and publishing on social media. Some of the TV reports included versions with English and French voiceovers for international distribution.
One of the most popular sporting events is the Ciclobrava by Orbea, a non-competitive cycling tour that takes riders along the coast using roads with little traffic.
With all the people who come and the brands that take part, this is a festival that gets better and better […] We hope that it will continue to grow because it is clearly an event that has a lot of future.
– TIAGO FERREIRA, World Cross Country Marathon Champion.

Girona has hosted the Sea Otter Europe from the very beginning as Europe’s top cycling festival. A multitude of activities and competitions are held for all tastes and levels. One of its unique attractions is the bicycle museum, where classic mountain bikes from the 80s and 90s are exhibited – authentic jewels that have been lovingly preserved by their owners. If bikes are your thing, you’ve got to be here.
