DIRT TRACK
Dirt Track, or Flat Track as it is known in the United States, is a unique discipline. The idea is to put the bike into a controlled skid by constantly toggling between the rear brake and the accelerator. Allow the bike to angle … But not too much! And using your foot as an outrigger to get round the bend a little faster.
The oval-shaped circuit is usually a quarter of a mile. That’s what the rules say. A dirt track circuit, using a specially made and prepared grit.
This discipline is very popular for training. It is a very good way to learn and practise skidding techniques. And also for close contact racing, as there is usually a lot of nudging and pushing in the bends. Racers like Marc Márquez, Alex Rins, Tito Rabat or Valentino Rossi are experts in the technique.
Whenever I have an idea for a project, I usually consult it with Anthony, or Antrick, which is the same.
It can be any subject, even if it is not his speciality; his vision and his ability to solve the ‘puzzles’ of any creative project are astonishing. And in the video … Many people make videos, but he is in a class of his own!
